Configurability
Courts vary in size, case volume, and the complexity of their workflow processes. Case types also vary greatly in their complexity and the amount of data that needs to be managed. i3 Public Sector’s Court Management Solution is designed to be highly configurable to handle a wide variety of courts and case types.
Configurability allows changes to be made to a process with a few clicks, allowing the court staff to self-manage their solution while reducing third-party vendor costs. Configurability also allows many courts to use the same software, which reduces costs per court, and prevents the system from obsolescence.
In cases where configurability is not adequate to meet certain requirements, JusticeTech CMS has a component architecture that allows the system to leverage components developed for very specific customer requirements. Although this approach requires programming, it ensures high performance and security while allowing JusticeTech CMS to grow and conform to expanded requirements.
Deployment Speed/Time to Value
Many court systems today are just too expensive. One of the most significant factors in this high cost is the effort and duration required to deploy and support the solution. The best Government agencies recognize the public is their most important customer. Providing access to the public is a critical feature of our Court Management Solution. Citizens’ demands for access to “their” data continues to grow. This trend is driven by the rise in mobile computing, and it is well known that more than 80% of web traffic on most sites is coming from mobile devices.
The JusticeTech CMS includes mobile devices in the design of all of our user interfaces. Our use of mobile is more than just for browsing web pages, our approach is to build interfaces that work well in both a browser on a PC and on modern smartphones.
Unique Revenue Strategies
Implementing modern computer systems is expensive. Often, the costs are beyond the budget of a Government agency. There is an ongoing need for access to data, especially in the legal community. Most of the data stored in a Court’s system is public record, but many Courts make it difficult to access. With the JusticeTech CMS, we can offset the costs of implementing our solution by implementing our Public Portal and offering secure access to data over the web for a nominal fee on behalf of the user. These fees can be used to offset the system cost, and often lead to a surplus for the Court.
We have implemented statewide solutions where not only is there no cost, but the system provides a positive revenue source for the state. This can usually be done without raising fees, but simply providing easier access to the courts data. These solutions can support traditional free access for other state agencies and for those that can demonstrate an inability to pay.
